In July my family and I took a road trip from Las Vegas to Northern California. Our first stop was in Elk Grove (a suburb of Sacramento) to stay with our good friends Jeff & Heidi and celebrate the 4th of July. We ate, drank and lounged in the pool for a few days before traveling on.
We drove from Elk Grove to our next stop San Francisco, which was our son's first time to the Bay.
We checked into the Marriott Marquis on Mission and 4th St in the heart of downtown SF. Before we headed out to catch a baseball game we went up to the 39th floor of the hotel to a lounge called The View and had cocktails while enjoying some of the best views of the city.
We were able to walk from the hotel to AT&T Park to catch the Giants play the Dodgers. We were lucky enough to sit on Club Level and enjoy all the great food and bar offerings. This worked out really well, because it was quite chilly and the Giants got blown out.
